Mission

The mission of Carolyn Ann Knight/Can Do Ministries, Inc. is to encourage persons to realize their God given potential in life; to equip persons with the tools for the realization of their hopes, dreams and aspirations and to empower individuals and institutions to impact and transform their world.

Welcome to Carolyn Ann Knight/Can Do Ministries, Inc. a progressive, preventive advocacy ministry that is dedicated to the cultural, social, intellectual and spiritual well-being of people everywhere.  We believe in divine possibility to achieve goals and realize dreams in every area of life.

What We Believe!

1.  We believe in God.

2.  We believe in Jesus Christ.
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14.

3.  We believe in the energizing influence of the Holy Spirit.

4.  We believe in the Word of God revealed in and through preaching.
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to   us who are being saved it is the power of God.  For since in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.” 1 Cor. 18, 21.

5.  We believe in unapologetic, unashamed and undignified praise and worship.
“So David said to Michal, ‘It was before the Lord, who chose me instead of your father and all his house to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel.  Therefore I will play music before the Lord.  And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight.’” 2 Sam. 6: 21-22. 

6.  We believe in a just and equitable world---free from any form of oppression.

7.  We believe in the eradication of poverty, hunger, racism, sexism and illness and are committed to working with persons in the fields of medicine, politics, business and entertainment to eliminate these conditions in our lifetime.

 It is with this belief in mind that Carolyn Ann Knight has preached messages of enlightenment, encouragement and empowerment for more than twenty years.  A native of Denver, Colorado,  a graduate of Bishop College in Dallas, Texas,  Union Theological Seminary in New York City and United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio Carolyn Ann Knight has been called sui generis, a one-of-a-kind preaching voice for this generation.  With a unique and innovative approach to linking the biblical texts to the contemporary living context, Carolyn Ann Knight reaches persons across generational lines with a message that enables  all who hear her to go out and impact their world. 

An avid student and lifelong devotee of Cornel West,  Carolyn Ann Knight has been called a preacher’s preacher, delivering messages that inspire with intellectual incision and inspirational insight.  She preaches memorable messages that motivate persons to change their circumstances and change their world.   Dr. Cornel West of Princeton University says she is an “organic intellectual rooted in the best of the prophetic African American preaching tradition.”   The singular focus of her life and ministry is a better quality of life for the poor and oppressed, particularly women and children.  She travels extensively throughout the nation speaking at churches, conferences and on college campuses.
